Requirements:
- Valid Registered Dental Hygienist license in California
- Current CPR certification
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to providing high-quality, thorough dental care
Responsibilities:
- Ability to educate patients on the importance of oral hygiene, with effective instruction and demonstrations
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and root planing as needed
- Conduct initial patient screenings and review dental/medical histories
- Take and interpret dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Educate patients on effective oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and lifestyle choices that impact oral health
- Apply preventive materials such as fluoride and sealants as needed
- Assess and document patients' oral health status and update treatment plans
- Maintain a clean and organized operatory, following OSHA and infection control protocols
- Collaborate with the dentist and other team members to ensure high-quality patient care
- Provide a positive and compassionate patient experience, addressing questions or concerns
